Five for Fraturday

It’s been a while since I’ve linked up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday or ummm Fraturday, better late than never.

Bella ended up having a herniated disc and needed emergency surgery. She made it out of surgery and has spent all week resting and thinking she can walk right away. She’s such a little trooper. Trying to keep her calm and resting for 2 months is going to be fun. Love her!

Thursday, my Haylee had her first big Speech competition and placed 1st! Her daddy helped her with her speech on how to build a robot. So proud of her. She did amazing! Now we move on to regionals in May.

We just started our new writing unit on Informational Writing from DeeDee and Deanna. Love these units! So proud of my little writers. They have grown so much since the beginning of the year!
“The bald eagle is our national symbol and the flag is too.”

“I can tell you the parts of a bat.”

“The bald eagle is white and brown.”

“Polar bears have cubs and are mammals. They eat walruses. They love to eat fish too. They are skinny in the summer.”

Hubby is still in town for the weekend but heads back to Alabama Sunday. We decided to have one big dinner before he left and what better place than The Melting Pot. Love this place and I was so stuffed but it was amazing and totally worth it! Guess I really need to hit the gym after that meal.

And finally, I have some big, exciting news coming your way tomorrow. You will definitely want to come back and check out it out tomorrow. I am so excited to share this “new adventure” with you but you have to wait one more day. Now I’m off to spend some more time with the hubby before he heads back
