Peek at Week: Veteran’s Day

Today Haylee had the honor of marching in our city’s Veteran’s Day parade with her school band. They did amazing! One proud momma over here. And yes, as my husband likes to point out, I was THAT mom that followed them the entire parade recording the entire thing. #crazymommma
Last week we finished up our pumpkin unit. We really enjoyed digging into pumpkins and learning about them inside and out!
We also have some pumpkin fun during Daily 5.
Next week we will be learning all about Veteran’s Day. This is a huge topic since I teach on an Army post and every student has a parent in the Army. This is one of the most important themes we do all year. The kids are able to make so many amazing connections during this week.
The newest addition to the Flippy Flap series is Veteran’s Day and we will be diving right into it first thing Monday morning to learn all things about Veteran’s Day and our heroes. Take a peek below. Click the picture to take you to my store.
